About Us

I first started in Retailing about 25 years ago with a small market stall selling Caneware, Wildflowers and Craft Supplies.  When I outgrew the space in the markets,I decided to move out into a shop.  My first thoughts when I looked at all of the space was “How am I going to fill it.”  It didn’t take very long!  We opened our shop on 14th  October, 1987 and for the first few years we tried to carry supplies for every “fad” as it came around.  As Patchwork was my passion, (and still is) we eventually became a specialist patchwork and embroidery shop.

The best part about the shop is that it gives me the excuse to travel to the US each Year to Quilt Markets looking for new supplies. We have come to enjoy our trips and with the new Venture into Internet selling, hopefully there will be many.
